Without electronics there would be no wind turbines, radio, television or internet and e.g. cars would not be as advanced as they are today. Electronics provide the comforts of life. As an ICT engineer you can take part in developing intelligent refrigerators which can identify what you need to buy or intelligent clothes which measure body temperature and physical well-being. Your creativity is the only limit!
You will work with all the things that make everyday life easier to other people. You must be able to cooperate with people with different educational backgrounds than your own. You will learn to understand other specialists' way of thinking and be able to see and develop the right solutions to make peoples everyday life easier and better.
You must be able to develop new concepts and identify new business opportunities by thinking creatively and differently – without losing the broad perspective. During the study programme, we will also work determined towards developing your personal competences.
The literature and materials studied will be in English, part of the teaching will be in English. You will speak English with e.g. foreign exchange students at AU-IBT. You will thus be ready to meet the demands from global companies with English as the corporate language even though you may work in Denmark for e.g. B&O or Grundfos. A considerable international focus is therefore of great importance.
